If the RCMP in Portapique had panicked instead of doing their “Relax People, the Mounties are Here and Everything is Under Control” routine, eight Nova Scotians might still be alive.
But let us not just stop at blaming the Mounties this month : there is plenty of blame to go around.
For if only the richest, the smuggest, and the most medically advanced nations in the room, hell, in the universe, had panicked and instantly pushed a total early lockdown -as did the poorer nations in Eastern Europe - the globe might have had a lot fewer COVID deaths.
Yes, COVID is making people who catch it very very sick : but it was the willingness of the richest, the smuggest nations on earth - including Mr Trudeau’s Canada - to go on letting people possibly catch it, that really killed them.
Arrogance is as old as the Bible and as new as Instagram : the moral blight that just keeps on killing...
