Does anyone still actually believe that if Gabriel Wortman was black, or aboriginal or Moslem or poor - or a woman - that the spree killings would have still happened ?

Twenty long years of interactions with Chris McNeil’s HRM Police and Mark Furey’s Mounties.

Who still believes that over that period, that the black/aboriginal/moslem/poor/female Gabriel Wortman would  NOT have come under heavy and prolonged police investigation ?

Hell, throw in Catholic or francophone as well.

‘Cause folks, here is what the law actually says : if the police have reason to believe you have illegal guns that were used to commit a crime like threatening someone’s life, and they fear the guns might be destroyed to prevent them to becoming evidence, the police CAN obtain a search warrant to search your properties for those illegal guns.

But if you are rich, white, anglo saxon, protestant and male, the Mounties & HRM police are going to cut you a lot more slack.

I am just waiting to find out that Gabe was secretly a Mason and hence his protective bubble from police intervention.

Let’s take a page out of J.T.’s “think nothing but kind thoughts” playbook and refuse to refer to this killer anymore as the Portapique Spree Killer.

Let’s call him for what he was : the Rich WASP Spree Killer...

PS : the referendum results have just come in as to whether Nova Scotia should hold a Public Inquiry on the rich white WASP spree killings : Anthony & Chris & Mark all said no way, the Preem-Supreme abstained and 947,321 Nova Scotians voted yes.

So the question was lost and there will be no Public Inquiry .....
