Dates are vague, but the timelines of the relationships seem to overlap the times when Gabriel was supposed to be in a married relationship with either his first wife Corinna or his second wife Lisa.
Evidence - thin but suggestive - is bolstered by one ex-girlfriend remembering Gabe bringing her to a isolated cabin/hut on Lawrencetown beach.
The hut/cabin was reported to be since washed away in a hurricane by another on-liner, who doesn't seem to be an ex-girlfriend, so perhaps Gabe's love nest was an open secret to locals - if not to his long-suffering wives.
Or perhaps, Gabe's second sex life was an open secret, even to his wives.
After all, at UNB, dorm mates report his lurid sex life was an open secret - as in "he had loud sex in the dorm's quasi-public showers while other dorm residents tried to get ready for their classes..."
Wortman certainly loved loud rock'n'roll : Cathy Palmater remembers her and Gabe bonding over Pink Floyd's ironically titled LP, The Delicate Sounds of Thunder.
And his mom definitely remembered that Gabe loved the booze : 72 bottles of beer one weekend and no food.
Now we also know he loved sex.
The profession of denturist is supposedly the only occupation ever voted less exciting that accountancy and so many, many people have been surprised that it threw up Canada's worst ever spree killer.
Now I personally consider alcohol to be fully a drug - in fact globally always the most damaging. But most of my readers won't.
But if Gabe is further revealed to be into 'the drugs', this mild-mannered denturist will be then fully revealed to have a private life of sex, drugs & rock'n'roll.
The resulting contrast almost seems to be too Made-For-Hollywood .
But perhaps if we recall that Gabe really wanted to join the RCMP, to ride around in fast cars, wearing a gun, it seems clear that he could never really settle into the sane & sedate life of a denturist...
