They and their families are at least as involved in past dealings with the killer as are a bunch of mounties from out west who only arrived here recently.
ER : “There is a hospital in Truro !?” Say what you will about Stephen and Mark , they’d never say anything quite that dumb as this remark from a mountie here to ‘save’ Nova Scotians from the killer.
Nobody can move McNeil, that is except Justin Trudeau, currently embroiled in a disaster of his own making : the “WE F***KED UP” Scandal.
Mr Trudeau’s deep pockets can really yank the McNeil regime by the financial short and curlies : Premier Stephen may ignore the ordinary voters’ cries but he always listens closely to those of the credit-raters and money-lenders. The man is all about the bottom line : in many ways, more tight-fisted than any CON politician.
The recent huge crowd of Portapique victims & supporters at the Bible Hill RCMP HQ was very impressive but the person they probably need to impress the most wasn’t there.

Butts is both a very clever political operative and a decent fellow to boot.
Butts, now an Ottawa resident and a green energy activist, must be convinced that opening up a Wortman Inquiry and letting all the sad but fascinating details emerge into the public might be the only thing that can chase the WE Scandal off the pages of the media - and save the bacon of his close friend Justin...
In the meantime, while we await your preferred mother of all investigations/inquiries that will positively, once for all, answer every question you ever had about GW, the RCMP, and the meaning of life, can we perhaps just find out GW's ethnic and religious background? Shouldn't be too hard for an ace reporter such as you, with all your connections. I'd try it myself, but I don't speak Canadian.
ReplyDeleteI already have, in great detail - for his father’s side, in earlier posts. But for his mother’s side, I can only speculate :I am sure she is catholic, probably not Francophone, possibly from Cornwall Ontario....
