Only in the UK : Canadians too gutless to have coroner's inquests and -Heavens !- coroner’s juries....

It is not as if that coroner’s inquests have totally disappeared in Canada : it is more that they have gone inside, behind locked doors, conducted by professionals beyond the laity’s eyes.

“Medical Examiners”. Private investigations, private results.

Rather like the drastic decline in public royal commissions and public public inquiries, replaced by private secret ‘reviews’.

Increasingly our professional employees run us, their bosses, not the other way around.

Because over the years, we have let them.
