If children could vote and grandpa couldn’t, kids would be swinging on swings and Truro Racetrack would remain closed

Whatever elderly NS voters want, elderly voters get : except maybe nursing homes that aren’t deathtraps...
If you went to a Nova Scotia harness racing track in the 1950s to the 1960s, you’d see a lot of thirty year old men.

Many of those same men are still going to the harness races, only they are all about 80 years old now.

(They are about the only ones still going to the harness races.)

At that age, they are all prime Covid+ Ventilator +ICU+Coffin material.

Yet the McNeil government is letting all these “avid voters” crowd themselves, cheek to jowl, into the racetrack stands to cough our province back into Wave Two of Covid 2020.

Children, on the other hand, because they are too young to vote, are invisible to the McNeil regime.

They might be thought very much healthy enough to withstand the rare chance of catching covid from each other in the breezy outdoors in a child’s playground.

Except that, unlike the elderlys’ deathtrap raceways, the kids’ playgrounds are still all yellow-taped up.

This hypocrisy is an open-and-shut case of “health concerns be damned” : because older voters vote so reliably, that is who Premier McNeil lap-dances all his public policy towards....
