For Years, the claim that Gabriel Wortman won the dreaded Chuck Cosby Award for being the biggest asshole on the UNB campus remained posted on Facebook Page devoted to Bridges House alumni and none contradicted it

The Facebook poster said that was his recollection then (a dozen years ago), that Wortman was voted the recipient of  the dreaded Chuck Cosby Award  —— and that is his recollection today.

Though he didn’t say so, it seemed crystal clear to me that silent was assent.

For the sort of person looking at the Facebook page were all Bridges House alumni during the years that Gabriel Wortman was there (or their significant others or their best friends).

About one thousand people in all, in the best possible position as eye witnesses, to determine whether the poster’s recollections were accurate or not.

Nobody did so - all the years the post was up there —— and years before Wortman’s murderous rampage coloured people’s memories of him at UNB.

That is pretty strong evidence to me.

Another poster (on another Facebook Page) said  very much the same thing and they are not at all connected to the first poster.

But I believe they only connected Wortman and Chuck Cosby after the shootings, which doesn’t make them mistaken.

It is only that they offer up slightly less compelling evidence then that given years ago when Wortman was not yet know as a mass killer...
