Forget the traditional anniversary gifts, because for Adolf & Eva (16th) and Gabe & Lisa (20th) it was fire and death on a Gotterdammerung scale...April 18th 2020 began calmly enough for Gabriel Wortman as he emailed his good bud Griffon to say he was taking his sweetie on a quiet drive in the country to celebrate the 20 years since the two first met, but he’d see him again the next day.
He apparently didn’t, because after the quiet drive in the country and an equally quiet little 20th anniversary dinner, Wortman began destroying everything he had worked decades to build up and then started into killing and burning anyone and anything in his path....
Gabriel and Lisa Banfield or Gabriel and "Beth" as the 13 hours podcast calls her. Sounds kind of silly: "the gunman told beth to be careful not to slip in the gasoline". Taking a curiously silly tone some of the reporting I have been coming across.
