How come UNB’s “JERK OF THE YEAR” , illegal liquor and tobacco smuggler gabriel Wortman was never caught by the Fredericton Police ?

Who says they didn’t ?

do you believe what our FEDERALES say ? That they could have had him any day ?

After all the RCMP yesterday admitted that Gabriel Wortman was indeed a alcohol and tobacco smuggler at UNB Fredericton between 1987-1991 - but how to they know that : did a court state that ?

After all, I believe that Gabe Wortman had a habit of chasing away kids from the public sidewalk in front of his two Dartmouth home, sometimes beating them up.

But I “know” for sure about that only in one instance, when an attack on Matt M  that resulted in the child going to hospital,  cost GW a hefty - wait for it ! - $50 fine.

Its on the public record.

What evidence do the RCMP have that GW was a smuggler, as opposed to them merely “believing” he was smuggler ?

Probably its best that we all ask a person who was on the Fredericton police force at the time and had been there since 1985 and remained there till 2019 when she retired as police chief.

Did she confirm the RCMP’s other witnesses ?

Gabriel Wortman, as far as we can tell, was never charged or convicted of smuggling tobacco and alcohol over the US border while a UNB student in Fredericton between 1987-1991.

So what makes the RCMP so sure he was doing so that the normally tight-assed lipped force just issued a long press release saying so ?

Maybe they asked somebody big in the Fredericton police, someone who was serving with that force since 1985.

Someone like Leann Fitch, Wortman Public Inquiry Commissioner.....

Any thorough investigation into the RCMP actions over the 35 years of Wortman crimes  at the recently announced Public Inquiry is bound to bring in their former boss,  ex- federal justice minister Anne McLellan —- who will be grilled, no doubt, by Inquiry Commissioner Anne McLellan.

I could go on for days about all the times our Anne comes away smelling less than rosy whenever Liberal scandal poop hits the fan.

I have added this brief biographic addendum to this story as it quickly became clear that Anne McLellan’s name and political career drew a blank with most people.

She was elected a Liberal MP in 1993 and served till 2006 - the whole time in the Cabinet !

Justice Minister, Public Safety Minister, deputy Prime Minister : she was the go-to person on all matters of policing and security in the prime years that Gabe Wortman was criminalizing about.

She’s still a backroom (and sometimes front room) advisor to the Liberals.

RCMP ‘Burying the Evidence’ with indecent haste & a backhoe

Regimes all over the world, all throughout history, call it “BURYING THE LEDE” : bulldoze the evidence & there’s no news story....

Thanks to a judge shoving a gun into the RCMP’s mouth and ordering them to cough, we now know just a little more about what the RCMP’s Wortman search warrants (35 years too late) were looking for.

It seems there were multiple eye witness allegations that Gabe’s main property at Portapique was quite the little shop of horrors.

The number of crimes witnesses alleged had happened there could have/should have keep the mounties looking for years - as they did at the Picton Farm.

But then Willie boy wasn’t a valued CI was he ?

The blood was barely dry on countless victim’s car doors, windows and seats before the bulldozers moved onto the ‘lead crime scene’ burying any evidence there might be of secret tunnels and secret rooms of horror and bodies buried on site/en suite.

Ultimately we might need a judge ordering a good old fashioned exhumation cum excavation to find out what was hidden on Wortman’s main Portapique residence....

It was bitterly cold that night, back in April 18th 2020 in the deep dark woods of Portapique Nova Scotia.

Some surviving victims  who spent the entire night in the woods had some winter clothes on but still ended up in hospital for frost treatment.

Others had no winter clothes, also spent the whole night in the woods, but somehow escaped the winter freeze unharmed.

I am not saying call in the Pope or anything just yet, but the latter claim does seem a miracle.....

The Mountie handbook on handling CIs, (confidential informants) has been fine-tooth-combed by the Justice Department’s smartest lawyers to be legally waterproof.

It says the RCMP can freely lie to almost everybody about CIs, to protect the case and above all to protect the lives of the informant & family.

I can’t really disagree with that.

But : to prevent this being an excuse to evade oversight, the same handbook says they can not lie in a judicial setting : like a courtroom or a Public Inquiry set up under courtroom rules.

But they are free to lie to a mere internal private ‘review’ : the kind pushed by the Ad Hominem Grits : McNeil, Furey, Blair & Trudeau.

This CI issue, more than any other mistake our mountie employees made, is what our employees want to keep from us, their bosses.

Sure, they said to themselves, it was embarrassing that our other mass killing CI, “Dany Boy’ Kane, was publicly outed.

But he murdered mostly other druggie low life : few were shedding many tears over his victims.

I certainly feel for any boss-dad who has to order his own child into an almost certain fling at death against a heavily armed mass killer, under the new mountie doctrine re mass killers : “engage immediately, don’t wait for backup.”

From all accounts, depending on numbers available, you form a sort of diamond and proceed, guns potentially blazing, against the last known spot of the killer.

Not easily done in a deeply dark deeply wood night.

Still, I’d like to hear from father and son whether the doctrine was even attempted that first night.

We badly need to know : because this will not be the last mass shooting in rural Canada, nor the last done in the dark.....

Could it be that among Wortman’s many sexual partners over the decades, some of those names now include people high up in both the legal and political worlds of the Maritimes ?

It is not as if that coroner’s inquests have totally disappeared in Canada : it is more that they have gone inside, behind locked doors, conducted by professionals beyond the laity’s eyes.

Rather like the drastic decline in public royal commissions and public public inquiries, replaced by private secret ‘reviews’.

Distributing excess amounts of wind and solar electricity energy forward into time, to periods in the day when the supply is lower and or demand is higher, is a pressing economic barrier to a green economy, at a time when direct electricity production from renewables is ALREADY way cheaper than non-renewables.

Storage costs, not production costs, are the biggest barrier.

But what is uniquely valuable about any nation’s collection of vehicle and the batteries (together with home & business garage charging posts) is how inherently de-centralized it already is and that its costs of storage are naturally borne by the vehicle owners not government or business.

Statistically, it is very reliable and very robust addition to a national power grid rendered fragile by shifting to locally unreliable wind and sun away from huge reliable stockpiles of coal sitting next to a handful of megawatt base cola-fired power generators.
